Vancouver Newborn Photographer - Sweet Dreams

When this boy's mommy called me to book his newborn photos, she prepared me that he was a rather alert baby. So of course, with that in mind, I was ready and allowed extra time. He, in turn, proved us wrong. He slept the entire time, without so much as a peep, and woke up only to get some milk, before going back into a deep slumber ;-)

BTW, this little boy's daddy is one of my heroes.  He is a teacher and I just want to take a second to say thank you to all of the BC teachers working hard each day providing support, education and care to our children.

As I'm sure it is apparent by now, if you have followed my blog for some time, I absolutely adore working with babies and children, but no matter how much I love it, I won't deny that it is hard work.  Yet my job pales in comparison to the hard work teachers do!  As a mother of two girls in the school system, I can appreciate that it takes a special person to dedicate themselves to educating young minds and giving them a strong foundation so that they're able to tackle any challenges they might face in their adult lives.  It's not just about reading, math, science or social studies.  The problem solving skills acquired during school years can have a profound effect on a person's life, and I know from personal experience that teachers can literally shape an individual's path in life.

I won't lie and say that the recent job action by the BCTF has not inconvenienced me.  And I know I have it easier that most parents, since I can juggle my schedule around if need be, but I completely support our teachers in their quest to provide BC students with the attention they deserve.  As an ESL student myself, I owe so much to the teachers who saw the potential in me, despite the language barrier, and gave their personal time to offer me the extra support I needed so that I could keep up with the regular students in class.

I hope you will join me in supporting our teachers in their fight for our children's education.  You can read more about it here.

I apologize for the serious tone, so moving on, enjoy photos of this gorgeous little boy :-)
