I occasionally get inquiries about photographing a baby that is already a few weeks old. I love babies of all ages, so I'm happy to do it, but I ensure that parents are aware that most of the images in my portfolio and on this blog are of babies that are 1-3 weeks old.

I simply cannot guarantee any specific shots or poses once baby is over 10 days old due to the fact that babies have a mind of their own. Just like you wouldn't expect a 6 month old to walk, it is unrealistic to expect that a two month old baby will sleep and curl like a baby that's just a few days old. That being said, every once in a while I will meet a baby that defies all my expectations.

Meet baby K. who came to see me at nearly 8 weeks old. As you can see he was happy to remember his younger days (hehehe). Please note that he truly is the exception to the rule. He was awake for the majority of his photos, but I simply had to share these.

I still highly recommend that you contact me BEFORE your little one arrives to ensure I have a spot for you right after you come home with your baby.

I simply adore capturing siblings together.

"Seven day olds are easy" - I foolishly said to Miss B.'s mom and dad at the start of the session before realizing what I had done. Ha! She showed me :-) She smiled lots (I'm assuming laughing at my silly statement, lol) and insisted that it's just too much fun to hang out with me to sleep. I was able to convince her to at least pretend and give mommy some of the shots she wanted. All kidding aside, though, she was a real sweetheart and I got lots of snuggles which I love!

I'm a bit behind on blogging these days. This gorgeous little man came to see me a couple of weeks ago with his adorable big sisters. I couldn't get over how much they love their baby brother :-) They are going to have so much fun growing up together!
