Vancouver Newborn Photography - It's the little things that matter in life

What's so special about newborn babies? Everything! The way they smell, the way they wiggle, the way their tiny hands wrap around your fingers.  And though I can't put all of that into a photograph, I hope as you look back at your tiny baby all those memories come rushing back, and you remember your baby exactly as she was in those first few days.

Sleep? I don't think so

Oh boy, oh boy, this little lady did not want to sleep.  Not only that, but she didn't even want to participate. At all! It was obvious that she was having a bad day, so we called it a day and re-scheduled her session.  Three weeks later and lo and behold, it was perfect! Despite being older, she did great we captured many wonderful shots.  And check out her hair! How adorable is that?!

This little dolly will get to experience wonders of our world at an early age as her parents take her to far away places. I'm lucky they were here long enough for me to photograph their little beauty. So excited to see her again this summer as they make their trek through our town once again.

North Vancouver Newborn Photography - Who's cuter?

I've photographed big brother a few times now, and every time, he's quite the ham for the camera, so it was wonderful seeing him again with his little brother this time.  As I was busy with the new addition, he found his own newborn photos among my samples and proudly came to show them off. At that point baby brother made a funny face (as if to say "I'm way cuter than that") and I captured one of my favourite shots :-)  I'm looking forward to seeing them again once they're older!

Aldergrove Newborn Photographer - Family Love

I could have shared every photo from this session, there were so many I loved.  This sweet family drove all the way from Aldergrove to my Vancouver studio, and I have to admit, I felt pretty humbled that they would choose me to capture their lovely new addition.  Big brother was pretty mesmerized by his baby sister, but being still pretty young himself, we had fun getting him to stay still long enough for me to catch a few shots.  It always makes me laugh when moms are convinced that there was no way we got anything good.  I just love showing them the results at the ordering session and seeing the surprise in their eyes. This time was no exception! I hope the long commute was worth it :-)

Surrey Newborn Photographer - Introducing Little Sister

I was so excited to photograph the newest addition to this lovely family.  Like her older sister two years ago, this little cutie put up a bit of a fight to start with, but this time around, I had a few more tricks up my sleeve, and we managed to get little miss to sleep so that her mommy could get some of the photos she really wanted.

But before showing off her photos, I simply have to share her gorgeous mommy, while she waited for her arrival.  Now that their house is filled with laughter and giggles of two lovely girls, I hope this peaceful photo brings mom some calm when things get a bit chaotic from time to time :-)
