I've been waiting to meet this sweet little guy for a LONG time. His mama contacted me pretty much as soon as she found out she was expecting, wanting to reserve a spot. Nothing makes me feel more honoured than to be one of the first people to find out a new life has begun :-) His mama's pregnancy was tough, but he sure was worth the long journey. He was absolutely delightful at his session!
Don't forget to like Mamique Photography on Facebook as many exciting announcements will be first made there.

Let's get digital - Things that make you go hmmmm.... - Vancouver Newborn Photographer
"Unlimited personal reproduction rights"... wow, that's a mouthful, isn't it?
That's why photographers just say "digital files" for short. But I think over the years consumers started to forget the true meaning of digital files. Digital files are what negatives were back in film days. Back then, photographers rarely sold negatives, and if they did, they would charge a premium for those negatives. Why? Because they understood they were selling unlimited personal reproduction rights. The client understood that, too!
Now, I get it, we live in a digital world so you may not like the film comparison. But what is the actual reason you wish to purchase ALL of the digital files (negatives)? Do you truly want to print them all, in various formats and sizes? Or do you just want to HAVE them all, but they will forever live on your hard drive, and some will be posted on Instagram or Facebook?
I love sharing photos online, and I know many of my clients do, too. And not everyone's budget allows them to purchase the unlimited personal reproduction rights (aka digital files). For that reason, beginning in 2014, I have started offering a watermarked web resolution file (perfectly sized for online sharing, but will not print) for every image that is purchased in print. That way, you get the best of both worlds; all your ordered photos to share with friends and family asap, and beautiful professionally produced products custom designed just for you. Because let's face it, with a brand new baby, when exactly will you find the time to print that album, or canvas?

Burnaby Baby Photographer - Celebrating 3 months
So you've missed the first 2 weeks window to capture your baby's portraits. Now what? Well, just because your baby won't curl into womb poses or stay asleep for the whole session doesn't mean she can't have beautiful photos. This little doll was 3 months old. What's great about this age is that, while they can't sit unsupported, they sure love to shower people with their smiles. And sometimes, if we're lucky, they will doze off long enough for a couple of sleepy shots, too.

Vancouver Baby Photography - Bright eyes
This little doll changed so much since her newborn session, but her perfect big eyes remained absolutely gorgeous! She was not in the mood for photos, but despite that, we got some sweet photos of her.

Coquitlam Baby Photographer - Giggles and more!
Three months old is a tough age to photograph sometimes, because babies can't sit yet, and many really don't like being on their tummies, so what's left is babies lying on their backs. But the expressions are priceless! And this little princess loved being on her tummy and even fell asleep long enough for the darling sleepy shots.

Vancouver Baby Photographer - How did he get so big already!
The round cheeks, the toothy grin, the adorable fat rolls - he was exactly what a imagine when I think of a 6 month old baby! Since this was his 3rd session with me already, he was quite comfortable and definitely a little charmer :-)

Vancouver Baby Photographer - 100 Days Old
I was excitedly awaiting this little boy's session. We needed to wait until he was 100 days old before he could come over for his session. Well, he most certainly was worth the wait! And I was thrilled I was able to capture a few sleepy shots for mom and dad :-)
