If you follow my blog, you will know that I am quickly becoming known as the Photographer for Little Girls, lol. So far this year, I haven't had a single boy in my studio, but I'm certainly not complaining! Girls are so much fun to dress up and today was no exception :-)
This little lady was the oldest I've photographed to date, at 7 1/2 weeks. All I can say is, what a wonderful age to capture! She was delightful and full of sweet baby sounds and expressions. If you've had a baby recently and didn't get a chance to have newborn photos done, don't fret, because it's not too late to capture your baby's sweetness even when they're a bit older.
Alright, I won't make you wait any longer for the photos.
Don't forget to like Mamique Photography on Facebook as many exciting announcements will be first made there.

Vancouver Family Photographer - Happy Mother's Day!
As this magical day comes to an end, I wanted to share with all of you amazing mothers out there the memories I will take away from this day. We had gorgeous weather, so it only made sense to take the "party" outdoors.
After getting showered with gifts, hugs and kisses, the girls were super excited for their promised pedicure/manicure treatment. They were eagerly shaking the nail polish bottles and watched me apply the sparkling colours to their finger and toe nails.
Not ones to wait for anything (not even the polish to dry, lol!) they started prancing around our yard and walkway. We took advantage of the dry and warm weather to prep our backyard for the summer and the girls were having a blast helping clean up the leaves (it helped that I turned it into a game, lol).
Exhausted from all the yard work, we came back inside for some playdough mother's day cake and a quiet story time.
I am so grateful to have these little munchkins in my life and I am especially grateful for my amazing husband, who really deserves an award for being the best husband and father a man could be.
Hope your Mother's Day was blissful!

Vancouver Newborn Photographer - Great little model
I had the pleasure of having a tiny little model in my studio this morning. At only 6 days old, she sure was a dream to work with! She had perfect skin, slept the whole time and only fussed a tiny bit when she got thirsty. Her parents booked the modeling session way back in December. If you're interested in a free session and 25% off your print order, send me an email and I'll let you know the details. There is only one session allocated per month, and only if I'm not already booked with my regular sessions. These sessions tend to book really far in advance, but there is still one available for August and one more in November this year.

Vancouver Newborn Photographer - Cheeky
I had the pleasure of meeting a delightful little lady today. At only 6 days old and whopping 9lbs 1oz, she had the sweetest cheeks ever! She also knew what she liked and didn't like, lol. She loved being cozy, swaddled, or with mama, but did NOT like to have her hands posed! Don't get me wrong, though, she was an absolute dream to work with. It was great seeing you guys again and meeting your little girl.

Vancouver Maternity Photographer - First Baby Coming Soon
I had the pleasure of meeting a wonderful couple expecting their first baby VERY soon! At 37 weeks, this lovely momma looked radiant and glowing, not showing any of the typical late pregnancy discomforts. I usually recommend moms-to-be get their photos done between 33-36 weeks, before water retention and general aches and pains set in. I cannot wait to meet your little baby in just a few short weeks! Enjoy your sneak peek.

Vancouver Family Photographer - We'll miss you!
My very best friend has left today :-( Her family is relocating to Calgary for 18 months, and though she will come visit regularly (she promised!), it won't be the same. I will miss the summer afternoons and evenings when our girls would play at the park together and we could chat uninterrupted (though only for a few minutes at a time, lol). She came over with her girls last Saturday for a last dinner and play date before the big move. Her hubby left with all their possessions earlier that morning. I wanted to do something special, so we went for a very quick photo session at a nearby park. Though the session was brief, I hope the images will remind you that you guys will be missed. Have a safe move and a wonderful time in Calgary!
