Just two weeks left until mother's day! What did you get your mom this year? What would you want to get? I am excited to say that I finally have a gorgeous portrait of me and my girls (I will share it on mothers day with you). I'm always the one behind the lens trying to capture all the little moments, thus I'm never in any of the photos.
I swear, if something were to happen to me today, my girls would be left with just a handful of images of us together. I've promised myself to, at the very least, capture one portrait with each one of them on an annual basis.
My own sweet mama has lost her own mom (my grandma) before I was born. Growing up, I learned what an amazing person and mother my grandmother was, but what I remember most is how much my mom treasured the old photograph of the two of them together, standing by the sea, my grandmother wearing a gorgeous polka dot dress, and my own mom at just a few years old. My mom still has that image framed and prominently displayed in her home, many decades later. In this digital age we take photographs for granted, but I personally believe that thousands of quick snapshots pale in comparison to a single beautifully composed portrait. Because of that I am once again thrilled to offer the mother's day mini session to ensure you and your children have something to cherish for years to come.
Don't forget to like Mamique Photography on Facebook as many exciting announcements will be first made there.

North Vancouver Newborn Photographer - Smitten
This baby girl is so lucky to have such adoring parents and big brother to surround her with love and positivity. I know all dads love their baby girls, but when you meet one who is as smitten as this daddy is, it simply melts your heart. Every time she moved, or sighed or made any kind of noise his whole face would light up with pure joy. It truly made for a very memorable session to be surrounded by so much love. I felt very privileged to capture these moments for them. I hope I did them justice :-)

Vancouver Baby Photographer - Growing
What a delight to see Mr.K. again! He's another one of my "Watch Me Grow" babies, and I'm so excited to be seeing him again later this year. He was Mr. Cool Dude, happily posing for pictures.

Burnaby Pregnancy Photography - Glowing
I'm so excited to share this recent mini maternity session! This beautiful momma was positively glowing.
Vancouver Child Photographer - Ready for Spring
Despite the rain and the slight chill in the air, spring is definitely on its way! I've taken advantage of longer days to go out and capture some photos of my own girls. As much as I love working in the studio, it's so much fun to stretch my creative muscles, so to speak. I thought I'd share our recent adventures :-)

Vancouver Baby Photographer - Milestones
The great thing about the "Watch Me Grow" package is the fact that I get to document your baby's milestones. This little cutie was so dainty when I met her the first time! And look at all those sweet chubby rolls now :-) I LOVE them! She can now sit on her own, find a way to chew on her hands and feet, giggle at peek-a-boo games and clearly loves Sophie the giraffe :-)
Can't wait to see her again for her first year portraits. I wonder what she'll be up to then.

Vancouver Newborn Photographer - Strike a pose
A sweet little addition to this lovely family was all that's needed.
I got to meet big sister when she was just a few months old, before her parents discovered I specialized in newborn photography. This time around, they made sure to book nice and early, well before little sis arrived to ensure we captured some truly sweet images of her alone as well as with her big sister.
I was only half joking when I told them they should get started on baby number 3, lol. Don't they make the cutest babies ever?!!!
