Vancouver Maternity Photographer - Excited

I love working with couples that are very excited for their baby's arrival. It will be fun to photograph their little boy when he's 100 days old!

Surrey Maternity and Newborn Photographer - Beautiful Girls

I love photographing expectant mothers! Besides the fact that I feel each and every woman I work with is absolutely beautiful, and the fact that I will get to photograph a squishy little newborn a few weeks later, the main reason I love maternity photography is showing my clients how truly glowing and gorgeous they are. The sessions are held at around 35 weeks, and by that point most women don't FEEL beautiful. Let's face it, growing a human being is hard work! I love taking the opportunity to show them how the world sees them :-) Here is what this stunning mom had to say about her photos: "For the first time in weeks I actually feel attractive. Thank you so much for this!"
And as expected, the apple doesn't fall far from the tree :-) Her baby girl is just the prettiest little thing!

Vancouver Maternity Photography - Happy

I loved photographing this adorable couple.  They were just so excited to meet their new bundle of joy.  The best part was, they were super relaxed and so easy to photograph!

Vancouver Maternity Photography - Soon

I had so much fun working with this lovely couple.  They had many ideas they wanted to try, and I was more than happy to create something that will remind them of this magical time in their lives, before they held their sweet baby for the first time.

Vancouver Pregnancy Photography - Serene

I simply adore capturing the glow of pregnancy.  There is something so gentle and peaceful about an expectant mother.  And nothing makes me happier than seeing a father-to-be affectionately place his and on the belly.  It was truly a pleasure meeting this lovely couple!

Burnaby Newborn Photographer - Taking it all in

Oh little miss! She is one of the sweetest little girls I have ever met and also the most awake one!  In fact, little darling was so uninterested in having her pictures taken that she had to come back a few days later.  Daddy calls her his little diva, but I think the girl just knows what she likes.  I can relate ;-)

Now, to be fair, she didn't cry or fuss.  She was simply wide awake for most of the session and when she did finally doze off she did not appreciate being disturbed.  Again, who can blame her! You should see how I react when someone disrupts my beauty rest, hahaha.  Sleeping or not, I adored spending time with her and her sweet parents and I'm thrilled with the results.

Vancouver Maternity Photographer - Night Thoughts

Another beautiful maternity session yesterday. I love doing more intimate photos that truly showcase the curves of an expectant mother. Out of respect for my clients, I do not show more revealing type photos. So today I leave you with just one.

I had this beautiful piece of silk for a very long time, but I never knew what the characters meant. Turns out its a beautiful poem by the most famous Chinese poet; Li Bai.

Night Thoughts

I wake and moonbeams play around my bed

Glittering like hoarfrost to my wondering eyes

Upwards the glorious moon I raise my head

Then lay me down and thoughts of home arise
