Vancouver Newborn Photography - Princess
I love meeting couples who are excited about welcoming a brand new life into their world and this couple was no exception. Mom was absolutely glowing, both while expecting and after their little girl arrived.

Vancouver Baby Photographer - Summertime fun!
What? Summertime?...
That's right, folks, I'm just a tad behind :-) But with all the rain we're having lately, I thought you might appreciate a little bit of sunshine on my blog.
I've met this dolly when she was just a few days old for the first time, and look at her now! All grown up.

Vancouver Prenatal Photography - Big Sis
The birth of a brand new baby is always a highly anticipated event, but it is even more exciting when that new baby will be welcomed by an older sibling. This sweet little girl was just a few weeks away from becoming a big sister. A life changing event for sure!

Vancouver Newborn Photographer - The best laid plans
For weeks we've been planning her mommy's maternity session. We were trying to sort out dates that would ensure perfect belly pictures. I usually recommend sessions between 33-37 weeks as that is when the beautiful round pregnancy curves photograph best. We were set to do maternity photos early June, but guess what, little miss arrived a couple of days before our scheduled date! This little cutie wasn't due until late July!
She arrived 7 weeks early and as is to be expected stayed at the hospital for a couple of weeks to ensure she was nice and healthy and getting strong. Since my own daughter was born 7 weeks early, too, at least I knew just how tiny she'd be when I finally got to meet her. Despite her tiny stature, she was absolutely perfect in every way! And that tiny chin dimple; too precious!

Ladner Twin Photographer - Charming
I adore working with twins. Sure, twin sessions mean a lot more work, but they're also so much fun! I have to say, I was laughing almost the entire session with these two! You see, Mr. Handsome here was busy charming me with his infectious smile, while his sister was shocked, SHOCKED I tell you, that we were subjecting her to this ridiculous experience, lol.
After some hilarious (Mr. Handsome thought so!) performances by me, her mommy and her aunty, we finally found a sound that made little Miss grin from ear to ear. After that, it was easy peasy, but I've got to admit, I kinda love the shocked expressions ;-)

Richmond Baby Photographer - Pure Joy
There is nothing sweeter than a baby's smile. It's just so earnest and pure. No pretending, nothing fake, babies let you know exactly how they feel at a particular moment and when you catch a big grin you feel like you've won the jackpot. And that's exactly how I felt when I met this little pumpkin. She was shy for all of two seconds before deciding that perhaps I wasn't so bad after all. Isn't she a doll?!!

Vancouver Baby Photographer - Fairy Princess
Abra Kadabra, Alakazam, little Miss M. just turned one! Truly as cute as a button!
I love seeing my clients come back for their one year portraits, so spending the morning with her was a truly a pleasure. She's changed so much since I last saw her, but her lashes stayed as long as the day I first met her. I have a feeling she's going break a lot of hearts with her big brown eyes and her sunny disposition.

Vancouver Child Photographer - A Halloween Story
Today, I bring you a story filled with beauty, courage and a bit of devilish charm.
Once upon a time, there lived a happy, goodhearted pirate, who loved her life and the world around her.
She was famous for standing up to injustice and fighting hard for her beliefs. She was never afraid to help those who were less fortunate. Pirate Arrrtalie loved all the people around her, but most of all, she loved princess Belle, who was her best friend in the whole wide world.
Princess Belle was kind and gentle and cared very deeply for the people in her kingdom. She was as polite as she was beautiful, and she always said please and thank you! She was famous for anticipating people's wants and providing them with what they needed, be it hugs for the lonely, or a drink for the parched. She was so lovely that the devilish and charming menace from a neighbouring kingdom decided to steal her away.
When pirate Arrrtalie heard the news, she got angry; VERY ANGRY!
"I will not let him get away with this! No way!" she said. "I will rescue the princess and teach Captain Yarrr a lesson he won't soon forget."
Pirate Arrrtalie caught up with Captain Yarrr as he was about to disappear with the princess forever. She bravely fought the mean Captain until he had no choice but to release the princess.
Captain Yarrr tried hard to fight back, but he was simply no match for the strong and courageous young pirate. When it became obvious that he was going to loose, he pleaded for his life.
Pirate Arrrtalie laughed. She had no intention of killing the evil Captain. She had a much better idea.
"Off with your hat!" she yelled.
"No, not my prized possession!" cried the Captain. "I'll give you anything else, but please let me keep my hat!" But pirate Arrrtalie had her mind set.
"Off with your hat!" she repeated, "and never bother people in this kingdom again!"
Captain Yarrr ran away and princess Belle was returned home safely where she could once again grace everyone around her with her beauty and kindness.
And pirate Arrrtalie enjoyed her newest treasure. She was a pirate after all ;-)
THE END
I hope you enjoyed our family's little production. Wishing you and your family a safe and happy Halloween!
