I know it's weird (and kind of creepy!) to say a baby looks delicious, but honestly, when I saw this little boy, that was the first thing to pop in my head.  He was just so snuggly and relaxed and, well... delicious!

Today's rain has made me realize that summer fun is over.  I have to admit this year's summer was absolutely amazing.  The weather was great and I made sure to spend as much time with my girls as I possibly could.  That meant only the very urgent work was getting done; like shooting sessions, editing images, designing albums, placing orders and having things ready for clients in a timely fashion.  I did little else work wise. I'll have many long hours ahead of me, now that my girls are back at school, but you know what, I wouldn't change it for the world!

Get ready for this quiet little blog to get busy again as I post all the beautiful babies and soon-to-be mommas I worked with over the summer.

Without further ado, let's show off this little beauty I met back in June.  Isn't she just the sweetest little thing? She was perfect in every single way!

The birth of a brand new baby is always a highly anticipated event, but it is even more exciting when that new baby will be welcomed by an older sibling. This sweet little girl was just a few weeks away from becoming a big sister. A life changing event for sure!

Vancouver Newborn Photographer - The best laid plans

For weeks we've been planning her mommy's maternity session.  We were trying to sort out dates that would ensure perfect belly pictures.  I usually recommend sessions between 33-37 weeks as that is when the beautiful round pregnancy curves photograph best.  We were set to do maternity photos early June, but guess what, little miss arrived a couple of days before our scheduled date! This little cutie wasn't due until late July!

She arrived 7 weeks early and as is to be expected stayed at the hospital for a couple of weeks to ensure she was nice and healthy and getting strong.  Since my own daughter was born 7 weeks early, too, at least I knew just how tiny she'd be when I finally got to meet her.  Despite her tiny stature, she was absolutely perfect in every way! And that tiny chin dimple; too precious!

Vancouver Newborn Photographer - Sweet

Gosh, this little boy was truly a sweetheart! I wasn't sure how the session would go as he had to stay at the hospital for a few days after birth and was already just a bit over two weeks old when he came to see me. But all my worrying was in vain, as he was a champ and participated beautifully in all the plans I had for him.

I really had a hard time choosing just a few photos for his sneak peek!  I'm sure you can agree, that he's just as sweet as can be :-)

North Vancouver Newborn Photographer - Bright

Oh how I love bright colours!  I know, those of you who follow my work regularly probably didn't know it simply because I usually showcase very delicate neutrals, creams and pastels, but that is because my clients usually request more muted tones.  I was very excited to learn that this tiny princess' mommy loves vibrant colours, especially hot pink :-)

Little miss was an absolute dream to work with, letting me do pretty much whatever I wanted.  And the best part is, I get to dress her up in fun bright colours again when she comes back for her 6 month portraits! I'm getting excited just thinking about it, lol.
